..of having a 2 1/2 year old!
We are officially in the "I do it!" stage. Something as simple as getting in our pj's, washing our hands, and brushing our teeth for bed - took approximately 45 minutes.
I watched her determination to get those pj pants on - pay off. Though admittedly they are backwards, and it seems to bug her that the crotch is poofy from normally being on her diaper, but by cracky she did all by herself. I haven't criticized her pants dressing abilities, because hey, she is 2 and put on her pants. That's a pretty big deal.
I might also mention that before watching her take 10 minutes to get her pants on, I watched her fight to try to UNdress from today's outfit for a good 15 minutes.
She kept saying she wanted help, but based on the look she gave me every time I reached for her to "help" I don't think she really meant it.
She did do a surprisingly excellent job at getting her pj shirt on, it's a tad stretched, but she did 95% of it by herself.
After all is said and done, she is indeed in her pj's - she has a fresh diaper on (though she wanted to do it herself, she also knew based on the look -I- gave her, it wasn't going to happen.), our teeth are brushed, hands are washed, and this tired mama is ready for bed.
Tomorrow night I know to start the bedtime routine (at least for Punkin') over an hour early.
Hah, never a dull moment!
